1. What are Weathered Patch Kids™?
Answer: Weathered Patch Kids™ are vintage Cabbage Patch Dolls that have been rescued, restored, and re-loved with care. Each doll is given a new life and a meaningful story. They are all unique and available for adoption!
2. How do I adopt a Weathered Patch Kid™?
Answer: Adoption is simple! You can visit our “Adopt a Patch Kid” page, choose a doll, and make a reservation with a deposit. We’ll keep you updated on their journey as we restore them, and you’ll be notified when they’re ready to join your home.
3. What is included in the adoption?
Answer: Each adoption includes a carefully restored doll, an adoption certificate, personality tag, a receiving blanket, and a Patch Parent Promise. Seasonal and Therapy Patch Kids™ include extra special items for their unique needs.
4. Can I request specific features or traits for my Patch Kid?
Answer: We do our best to match adopters with dolls that fit their preferences, but each doll has its own unique personality and charm. You can leave a note during the adoption process, and we’ll do our best to make sure it’s a perfect match!
5. How long does it take for a doll to be ready for adoption?
Answer: Typically, it takes about 2-3 weeks to restore a Weathered Patch Kid™, depending on the doll’s condition. You’ll receive updates on their progress during their time in our Hopeful Garden.
6. What are Therapy Patch Kids™?
Answer: Therapy Patch Kids™ are special dolls designed to help children cope with anxiety, depression, and other emotional needs. They come with a special Therapy Patch Kit™ to help guide emotional expression and provide comfort.
7. Are the dolls safe for children?
Answer: Yes! All of our dolls are cleaned, restored, and safety-tested to ensure they’re safe for children. Some dolls may have minor imperfections due to their vintage nature, but all repairs are done with care to maintain safety.
8. How do I care for my Weathered Patch Kid™?
Answer: Each doll comes with a Patch Parent Kit, which includes care instructions. We recommend gently brushing the hair and keeping the doll in a safe, dry place. Regular care will keep your doll looking beautiful for years to come!
9. Can I customize my Patch Kid’s outfit?
Answer: While we offer seasonal outfits and accessories, each doll’s clothing is carefully curated to match their personality. We don’t currently offer custom clothing options, but we love to see how Patch Parents dress their dolls!
10. Do you offer international shipping?
Answer: Yes! We offer shipping worldwide. Shipping costs vary by location, and we make sure to package each doll with care for safe international delivery.
11. Can I return or exchange my Patch Kid?
Answer: We hope you love your Weathered Patch Kid™! However, due to the personalized nature of each doll, we don’t accept returns or exchanges. If there’s an issue with your doll, please contact us within 14 days of receiving them, and we’ll work with you to resolve it.
